Jack Astro Title Card - Kaz

This title card was made for the Jack Astro short film. The film & the socials of everyone else on the production team can be found on the official Jack Astro Instagram page. I wrote in an overly-competent fighter pilot character & a himbo character & we ended up combining both in order to fit a five-man structure. Ericka Palangan made the final design that appears here.
Fun Fact: Kaz is short for Kazimierz although he doesn't go by either very often usually preferring to be called by his call-sign 'Freebird.'

The style this time was the vibrant, graphic novel style I've practiced before. The pose & style was chosen intentionally to be as eye-catching as possible to match Freebird's arrogant attitude.

This is the first composition

This was a back-up composition with a less-demanding perspective in case the first didn't work out.

This was the rough layer, as you can see it took multiple layers of rough sketching.

This is the base colour version with the final line art as well.

This is the base shading with the dotted texturing & the highlight layer.

This layer shows the acid green & magenta lighting to fit with the silhouettes.

These silhouette's were made by duplicating the colour layer & alpha-locking it & colouring them. They were transformed so that they could both be seen underneath the character.

This is the background. It's not much but the focus is Kaz here.
