Toohey Run Design proposal

This was my design proposal for Griffith Sports 2027 Toohey Run as part of my placement at Liveworm studio.
I experimented extensively with different aesthetics for this project until I settled on a 1960s/UPA-style aesthetic with renditions of native plants found within the forest towering like trees which the track winds between with wattle flowers showering the runners in pollen.
This design had to be adapted to the logo, posters, t-shirts, promotional content on social media & apparel which was admittedly something of a challenge at first.
This project took up the most of my time as while the assets made were all modular they were all hand-drawn.

Original concept for a UPA/1960s style, I decided to test these concepts in the template.

This was my test concept submitted to the creative directors which was approved for a second round.

This was another test design mostly for fun based on a zoetrope type of idea.
