Candy Dispenser Fishtank

Here's another model to round out the year, this project was very fun & I learned a great deal about animation drivers, vector math, particle systems, graphic art & shaders in general.

This likely would've been finished a month earlier but I had a spate of bad health, so timely reminder for everyone to take care of their health.
Here's to the new year!

This animation is made with the displace modifier targeted at a null object moving to the left of the scene.

Here is the wireframe view.
Obviously it's not optimised for a real-time or game project.

Here are the particle systems for the aquarium gravel & different candy types.

Due to limited randomised rotation options, all of the particles featured the logo which broke the illusion of a pile of candy. So I added another particle system without the logo.

To create the fake plant I started with a single leaf & a spline.

Using Blender 5's array on a curve modifier I placed the leaves onto the spline then copied it to put leaves on the other side.
After this I converted the spline to a mesh & rotated & resized the object.

As you can tell, the body is a cube & the fins are planes.

To get the colourful & shiny fighting fish textures I tried a couple different approaches before picking the one from the top fin.

I have no idea how litigious mike & ikes are as a company & don't wish to find out so michael & ichael it is.

For a fake m&m logo I dropped the ampersand entirely & because I think it's funny.
